At most high school graduation ceremonies there is a commencement speech which is known as the high school graduation speech. That speech is given by either the valedictorian or class president or even a guest speaker.
As you try to scramble and put that graduation speech make sure that you have some sort of frame work in mind for that speech. Please desist from the clichéd routines of telling the high school seniors what lies ahead of their lives. By now hundreds of people would have told them that they are leaving high school and that are going to college and thousand of other do’s and don’s.
That said there is still a lot of valuable information that you give at that high school graduation speech. Make sure that you talk about special events and milestones you achieved in the high school class.
The emphasis should be on the personal side as opposed to be on the non personal side and what tha means tell about students in the high school class. Make sure to put together the fundamental values of the graduation high school class as well how they were during the four years. What people attending the ceremony should hear is the funny incidents, good incidents, bad events and even plain vanilla incidents that happened over the course of the four years.
Never ever should you have the act put on of a teacher advising the students. This is a class which is graduating do not bore them with lessons in life stuff. Make sure that you put your best foot forward for the speech.
Do not try to didactic and also do not be disparaging to any student and always thank the parents and the teachers. If you are guest speaker an added thing that you can do is to take a special high school graduation gift for the entire class like a small memento for everyone or a special hard card with school colors for everyone.
