Retirement party gifts are generally not an easy thing to do but as with everything else there are things that you can think and give as gifts for the retirement party.
There are several ideas and suggestions that come to my mind with regards to the gifts for the retirement party.
If you are close to the person on whose retirement party you are going then try organizing a surprise thing or two for the person. May be enact a special episode from the years he was at work or try to persuade someone special to that person to come into the party.
If you know the things that he work she likes then get the person that gift related to his liking or disliking.
For example for my mother’s retirement party I organized a special luncheon for a few close friends of hers at the school and then took them to a memorable movie and also to the place where they had all met first. They were known as dirty dozen as friends at the school where they taught. So I gave them each a small gift representing a photograph of them together and dirty dozen emblazoned on them.
So as a retirement party gift guide do something special for that person which is a reminder of the past work life or give something which can be helpful in the post retirement life.
Make sure that when you give funny retirement gift that the person is receptive to the funny gag gift like the over the hill retirement cake .
