Thanksgiving is one of those holiday season celebrations where the family feast is the main thing and turkey is the main important thing in that thanksgiving dinner.
That said let me explain what thanksgiving is and how it all started.
Thanksgiving day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November every year and that means that for the thanksgiving date for 2008 is November 27th and for 2009 the thanksgiving date is Nov 26th.

1621 is another day where the first “traditional thanksgiving’ happened at the site of the Plymouth plantation. The Puritans set apart a day to celebrate to end of the harvest season and is also known as the first thanksgiving.
Turkey or turducken is usually the main thing that has to be on the Thanksgiving dinner menu. Stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce are the other main dishes or things on the feast day of the Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving day parades are a very common thing to happen on the thanksgiving day and some of the parades on the thanksgiving day are the traditional Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade held in New York.
Philadelphia has the 6abc Boscov’s Thanksgiving Day parade and Chicago has the McDonald’s Thanksgiving parade
