he mail order Christmas trees come from the various farms that grow the trees in their farms for specifically for harvesting them at Christmas time. Most of the farms will deliver the mail order trees in a specially designed anchor so that the trees remain tightly held in the box and do not sway back and forth within the box.

That said the trees are grown in the farms for about 13-15 years before they are harvested. The farms specifically grow these trees for selling only. The characteristic that you should look for in buying the live Christmas trees from the farms is of course the variety or the type like the balsam fir and you need to be sure about the needle retention of the trees as well as how well the fragrance is retained.

Special care is generally taken to make sure that the trees original fragrance is retained because that is what really matter when you are ordering a live Christmas tree straight from the farm.

As far as the place to order the farms there are numerous farms which will send you the mail order trees but if you need a complete list of farms and specifically those which are listed with national tree association then there is a website of the national tree association which publish the complete list of farms which are there in the entire country.

Once the mail order Christmas tree has arrived then make sure that the Christmas tree is under the porch away rom the sun and is in water.

Make sure that there is at least 2 gallons of water in the christmas tree stand and that will allow the Christmas tree to remain in water and also it will start absorbing faster in the first 24 hours of being out in water.

The most common varieties of mail order Christmas trees are Balsam fir and the Fraser fir.
