For carving a turkey what you need is a roast turkey as well as a cutting board alongside the actual boning or carving knife. You also need gloves to make sure that you do not burn your hands as the turkey will be hot.
The first and foremost is the procedure to remove the wishbone and that you do poking finger to find the wishbone and then carving a v-shape around that.
It is this wishbone which is sued to make a wish when it is dry after a few days and that is why perhaps the name wishbone.
Then cut along the turkeys’ hip joint and make sure that the leg slowly separates from the body. Then you can cut the other leg. After this comes the breast bone and make sure that you carve the turkey alongside the breast bone. Then the wings tips should be separated from the breast bone. After all the pieces have been sliced away from the body then you need to cut the turkey pieces you just separated into small pieces and for that make sure that you always cut along the bone.
As far as how to serve a carved turkey or for that matter how to serve a turkey there are two methods by which you can do that and that is that you can either cut the turkey in the kitchen and serve the pieces of you can bring a roast turkey in front of the guests and then carve the turkey in front of the guests and that really means that you should either be an expert or at least practiced how to carve a turkey.
Make sure that you separate white meat and the dark meat while serving the turkey on platter and then arrange the slice that you have carved in a very good plate in a nice serving tray or a serving plate.
